At its traditional White Coat Ceremony on Aug. 6, 2010, UC Irvine's School of Medicine ushered in a new era in physician education with its iMedEd Initiative, a comprehensive and fully digital first-year medical curriculum loaded onto iPads provided to each of the 104 incoming students.
